An oval cut lab grown diamond surrounded by a visible halo of round brilliants, on a shank that carries no stones at all. This is a visible halo, not a hidden one. The ring of small diamonds sits at the same level as the centre stone and is seen from directly above, where it traces the oval outline and makes the stone read noticeably larger on the finger. Because the band is plain polished gold with nothing set into it, all of the light on this ring is concentrated in one place at the top, which gives it a cleaner and more traditional look than a ring that carries pave down the shoulders as well. Band details

A plain polished band of even width, slightly rounded on the outside for comfort, running unbroken from the halo all the way round the finger. No pave, no milgrain and no engraving.

Metal options

With a plain band the metal is a large part of what you see, so colour choice changes the ring more than it would on a stone covered shank. Yellow and rose gold frame the halo warmly and set off the white of the diamonds. White gold lets the halo blend into the setting so the centre stone appears to spread even further.

What is the difference between a visible halo and a hidden halo?
A visible halo sits around the centre stone at the top and is seen from above, making the stone look larger. A hidden halo sits underneath the stone below the girdle and is only seen from the side. This ring has a visible halo.

How much larger does the halo make the diamond look?
A halo typically adds the appearance of roughly half a carat to a carat depending on the size of the accent stones, without the cost of a larger centre stone.

Why choose a plain band with a halo?
It keeps the sparkle in one place instead of spreading it along the finger, which reads as more classic. It also sits flatter against a wedding band and is the simplest shank to resize.

Does an oval look bigger than a round of the same weight?
Generally yes. An oval spreads its weight across a longer surface, presenting more face up area than a round of identical carat, and the elongated outline flatters the finger.

Will the halo stones need checking?
Halo stones are small and secure, but a check every year or two is sensible. Our lifetime prong and setting check covers this at no charge for as long as you own the ring.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.
