An oval cut lab grown diamond in six claws on a slim shank set with substantial round brilliants, each pair of neighbouring stones sharing a single claw between them so almost no metal separates one accent from the next.

Shared prong is a different proposition from pave. In pave each small stone gets its own ring of beads and the metal between them is what you see. Here every claw does double duty, gripping the stone on its left and the stone on its right at the same time, which means the accents can sit almost edge to edge. Because the stones can be considerably larger than pave and still fit a slim shank, the band returns real fire rather than a fine glitter, and the row reads as a line of individual diamonds instead of a texture. It also changes what happens in low light. Pave depends on many small facets catching a bright source. Larger shared prong stones keep working under ordinary indoor light because each one has enough depth to gather and return it. The trade off is that shared claws must be perfectly proportioned, since one claw failing would loosen two stones rather than one, which is why we cut them from the shank itself rather than adding them afterwards. The head is set with six claws and the gallery beneath is left plain and open, with no halo.

Band details

The shank is slim and shared prong set along its visible length, with the claws cut from the metal of the band itself. The section against the palm is solid, and the interior is comfort rounded.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is shown in the photographs, where the shared claws vanish and the accents read as an unbroken row of stones.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is shared prong setting
Each claw holds two stones at once, gripping the one on its left and the one on its right. It lets the accents sit almost edge to edge with very little metal showing between them.

How is it different from pave
Pave uses many small stones each held by its own beads, and you see the metal between them. Shared prong uses fewer, larger stones set almost touching, so the band returns real fire rather than fine glitter.

Does it hold up as well as pave
Yes, provided the claws are cut from the shank itself rather than added on, which is how we make them. We check and tighten every setting free of charge for life.

Why are there no halo stones
This design puts its accent weight into the band rather than around the head, so the oval is presented on its own outline with nothing reflecting into it.

Can this ring be resized
Within about two sizes using the solid section at the palm. Beyond that the claw spacing changes, so we prefer to rebuild the shank.

How long does the ring take to make
Each shared claw is cut and shaped before setting begins, so allow eighteen to twenty two working days before dispatch.
