An oval cut lab grown diamond in six claws above a band of interlacing vines set with continuous pave, hung along its whole length with marquise cut lab emeralds and marquise white diamonds arranged as alternating leaves.

This is the fully planted version of a vine ring rather than a few leaves at the shoulders. The band splits into strands that loop over and under one another from the head almost to the back of the finger, every strand pave set so the metal reads as line of light rather than as gold, and the leaves are hung all the way along rather than clustered at the top. Green and white alternate, which is the decision that makes it work. A row of emeralds alone would read as a colour band. White marquise alone would read as an ornate diamond ring. Alternating them at irregular intervals, with the greens slightly smaller than the whites, produces the speckled two tone effect of real foliage where light falls through leaves at different depths. Around the head the leaves crowd and tilt upward into a loose collar, thinning as they run down the shoulders until the vine finally runs plain at the palm. The oval itself is set high in six plain claws with nothing green touching it, so the centre stone stays completely white against all that colour.

Band details

The shank divides into strands that loop over and under one another from the head toward the back of the finger, pave set along their full visible length and hung with leaves. The strands merge into a plain rounded shank at the palm and the interior is comfort rounded.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. Yellow gold is shown in the photographs, and it is the metal we recommend, because warm gold pushes lab emerald toward true leaf green where white metal cools it toward blue.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Are the emeralds real
They are lab grown emeralds, chemically and optically the same beryl as mined emerald. Lab material also lets us pick stones without the heavy inclusions mined emerald carries at this size.

Why alternate green and white leaves
Because real foliage is not one colour. Alternating at irregular intervals, with the greens slightly smaller, gives the speckled depth of light falling through leaves. A solid row of green would read as a colour band instead.

Are emeralds durable enough for daily wear
Emerald sits at 7.5 to 8 on the Mohs scale, softer than diamond and sensitive to sharp knocks. Here they are small, set low among the vine work and shielded by the surrounding metal and diamonds, which is the right way to use emerald in a ring worn every day.

Which metal suits the emeralds best
Yellow gold. Warm metal reflects into the green and pushes it toward leaf tones. White metal cools it toward blue.

Can this ring be resized
Only at the plain section at the palm, and only by about one size. Beyond that we remake the shank so the vine spacing stays right.

How long does the ring take to make
Every leaf is set individually, the emeralds are colour matched by eye and the vines are pave set throughout, so allow twenty two to twenty six working days before dispatch.

Why buy a lab grown diamond

Setting coloured stones against a large white centre only works if the white is genuinely white, because any warmth in the diamond fights the green. Lab grown material lets us hold an E colour VVS2 oval of two to five carats at the centre and match every white accent to it, with a traceable origin and no mining.
