The distance between a halo and the stone it surrounds decides everything about how the ring reads. Leave a visible rim of metal between them and you get two distinct objects, a diamond inside a decorative frame. Close that gap to almost nothing, as here, and the halo stops being a frame at all: the small stones sit directly against the girdle with only the thinnest possible bead of metal holding them, so from a normal viewing distance the eye cannot separate the two and simply reads one larger stone with a sparkling edge. That is the entire purpose of a halo done this way, and it is the most effective version of the idea for making an oval look bigger than its carat weight. Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What does close set mean here
The halo stones sit directly against the girdle of the centre stone with only the thinnest bead of metal holding them, rather than being separated from it by a visible rim.

Does it really make the stone look larger
Yes, more than any other halo arrangement, because at normal viewing distance the eye cannot separate the halo from the centre stone and reads one larger diamond with a sparkling edge.

How is this different from your other halo rings
One sets the halo around the outside of a full bezel with a deliberate metal rim between. Another pairs a halo with full eternity coverage and a second row on the collar. This is the tightest of them, set as close to the girdle as the metal allows.

Is close setting harder to make
Considerably. Every small stone must be seated at a consistent height against a curved girdle with almost no metal to work with, and any variation shows immediately as a wobble in the outline.

Are the halo stones secure
Yes. They sit in a cut seat with shared beads and the four main claws pass over the halo, which also protects it. We check every bead during servicing, which is included for life.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, within reason. The plain section across the palm is where a sizing cut is made.
