An oval cut lab grown diamond held in four claws above a hidden halo, on a band set with a single row of pave along the top. This is the restrained version of the hidden halo oval. One row of small diamonds runs across the face of the shank and nothing is set on the sides, so the band stays slim and the pave reads as a fine line rather than a mass of stones. Beneath the centre stone an oval hidden halo follows the outline of the diamond above it, invisible looking down and clearly visible in profile. The result carries light in exactly two places, a line along the top of the band and a collar under the stone, and leaves everything else as plain polished metal. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. With only one row of pave the sides of the band remain plain metal, so the colour shows clearly along the shoulders rather than being hidden between stones. Yellow and rose gold frame the single row warmly, white gold makes the band read as a continuous line of light. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds bead set pave more securely.

Frequently asked questions

What is a single row pave band?
Pave set along the top face of the shank only, leaving both side walls as plain polished metal. It keeps the band slim and the line of stones fine, in contrast to a three row band which is set on the top and both sides.

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the underside of the centre stone, below the girdle. It is invisible from above and only appears from the side. Here it is oval so it follows the shape of the stone.

How is this different from your triple pave oval?
That ring is set on three faces of the band so it shows diamond from any angle. This one is set on the top only, which keeps it slimmer, lighter and less expensive while still giving a full line of pave face up.

Does an oval look bigger than a round of the same weight?
Generally yes. An oval spreads its weight across a longer surface, presenting more face up area than a round of identical carat.

Will pave stones fall out?
Properly bead set pave is secure, but any pave ring benefits from a check every year or two. Our lifetime pave and prong check covers this at no charge.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
