The band is worth understanding on its own. Instead of each accent sitting in its own four claws, neighbouring stones share a single claw between them. That removes half the metal from the top of the band, which means the stones sit closer together, more of each diamond is exposed to light, and the shank reads as an almost continuous line of diamond rather than a row of separate settings. It is more work to build than pave and it uses larger accent stones, which is why the effect is brighter and coarser than a fine micro pave shank.

Band details

The shank carries diamonds around most of its circumference with the base left plain so the ring can be resized. Because the claws are shared, the top surface of the band is mostly stone rather than metal, and the profile stays slim despite the size of the accents.

Metal options

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold is the version shown and it makes the shared claws read as small gold beads between the stones, which is part of the look. Rose gold does the same more softly. White gold and sterling silver make the claws disappear entirely so the band reads as unbroken diamond.

What is a hidden halo?
It is a ring of small diamonds set around the basket underneath the centre stone rather than around it. You do not see it from directly above, only from the side, so the ring keeps a solitaire outline while gaining extra brightness and a little visual height.

What does shared prong mean?
Neighbouring accent stones share a single claw between them instead of each having its own. Less metal shows, the stones sit closer together, and the band looks like a continuous line of diamond.

Is a shared prong band secure?
Yes. Each shared claw grips two stones at once and the claws are thicker than pave beads. It is a construction used on diamond eternity bands and it holds up to daily wear.

Does the hidden halo make the centre stone look bigger?
Slightly, but its real job is to lift the stone and add sparkle at the base where an oval would otherwise show only bare metal.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness, refractive index and fire as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled environment rather than pulled from the ground.
