Oval Cut Lab Grown Diamond Ring with a Double Concealed Halo

An oval lab grown diamond in four claws over not one but two rows of concealed diamonds, set into the basket wall one above the other, on a fine pave shank.

Doubling the concealed halo is not simply more of the same thing. A single row sits directly under the girdle of the centre stone and is largely shaded by it, which is why a hidden halo brightens the profile without ever competing with the diamond above. Adding a second row below the first puts stones outside that shadow, at a level where they receive light the top row never sees, so the two rows behave differently. The upper one picks up light passing through the centre stone, and the lower one catches light from beside the finger. Seen from the side the head therefore has depth rather than a single bright line, and the basket, which on most rings is the plainest part of the design, becomes the part that changes most as the hand moves. It also requires a taller basket, which lifts the centre stone slightly and lets more light enter it from below.
