An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws over a hidden halo, on a band that carries no stones at all. Seen from above this is a plain solitaire. There is no halo around the stone, no pave on the shoulders, nothing but the oval and polished metal. Turn it to the side and a full collar of small diamonds appears beneath the girdle, running right around the underside of the stone. That contrast is the whole idea. It is the most restrained way to own a hidden halo, and it suits anyone who wants the surprise without the ring reading as a diamond covered design on the finger. The shoulders are cathedral, arching up to meet the setting so the stone sits raised and light reaches it from underneath. A plain polished band that rises into a cathedral arch at the shoulders and runs unbroken around the rest of the finger. No pave, no engraving and no milgrain.

Frequently asked questions

What is a hidden halo?
A ring of small diamonds set around the underside of the centre stone, below the girdle. It is invisible from above and only appears when the ring is viewed from the side.

How is this different from your other oval hidden halo rings?
Those carry pave on the shoulders, in one row or three. This one leaves the band completely plain, so the hidden halo is the only accent anywhere on the ring.

What is a cathedral setting?
The shoulders of the band rise in an arch to meet the head rather than joining it flat. It lifts the stone, gives the profile height and lets light enter from beneath.

Does a hidden halo make the diamond look larger?
Slightly, by widening the base of the setting, but its main purpose is the side profile rather than the face up size. For apparent size, a visible halo does far more.

Does an oval look bigger than a round of the same weight?
Generally yes. An oval spreads its weight across a longer surface, presenting more face up area than a round of identical carat.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.
