An oval cut lab grown diamond held in a deep bezel with a visibly wide rim, on a slim plain band. The width of the rim is what defines this ring. A minimal bezel is drawn as thin as it can be so the metal almost disappears, whereas this one is deliberately substantial, wrapping the stone in a clear band of gold that reads as a frame in its own right. From a distance the head becomes a single solid ellipse of metal with a diamond at its centre. The slim shank underneath is deliberately understated so the contrast between the narrow band and the broad frame does the work. Nothing protrudes and nothing can catch. A wide bezel puts a broad band of metal directly around the diamond, so this is the design where metal colour matters most in the whole collection. Yellow gold gives a strong gold frame with a bright centre, white gold merges rim and stone into one pale form. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a bezel edge crisp for longer.

Frequently asked questions

Why choose a wide bezel over a thin one?
A thin bezel tries to disappear. A wide one is meant to be seen, framing the diamond the way a mount frames a picture. It also protects the girdle of the stone more completely and gives the ring a bolder, more graphic outline.

Does the wide rim make the diamond look smaller?
It covers slightly more of the stone than a thin bezel would, but the frame reads as part of the head, so the overall shape looks larger. In yellow gold you see gold and diamond distinctly. In white gold the two merge and the head looks widest.

Is a bezel setting secure?
It is the most secure setting there is. A continuous rim of metal holds the entire girdle rather than a few claws, so there is nothing to bend, wear thin or snag.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
Yes. The shank is slim, straight and free of settings, and the bezel sits low.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
