An oval cut lab grown diamond on a band set with round accent diamonds that step down in size as they travel away from the centre. Graduation is the detail that makes this design work. Instead of a uniform row of identical pave stones, each accent is slightly smaller than the one before it, so the eye is drawn inward toward the oval and the shoulders appear to taper. The effect is that the centre stone looks larger than it would on a plain band, and the ring narrows visually toward the back of the finger. It is a classic vintage device used in antique rings, executed here in clean modern claw work. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. A white metal makes the accent stones blend into a continuous line of light with the centre. Yellow and rose gold separate each accent visually, so you see the graduation as a deliberate pattern. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds small accent stones more securely over the years.

What does graduated mean on a ring?
It means the side stones reduce in size step by step as they move away from the centre. The largest accent sits closest to the main stone and each one after it is a little smaller, which tapers the shoulders and flatters the centre stone.

Does this make the centre stone look bigger?
Yes, that is the purpose of the design. The graduated line leads the eye inward and there is no abrupt jump in size between the centre and the shoulders, so the whole head reads as one large continuous form.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
The accent stones taper toward the back, so a straight band sits close on most sizes. If you want a perfect fit we can make a matching contoured band, just ask before ordering.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
