An oval cut lab grown diamond surrounded by round accent diamonds scattered across the shoulders in deliberately varied sizes and irregular positions. This is not a halo and it is not pave. In a halo the small stones form an even ring, in pave they form a straight line, and both are regular by design. Here the accents cluster asymmetrically around the centre stone, larger ones nearest the oval and smaller ones drifting outward along the band, with polished metal showing between them. The effect is organic rather than engineered, closer to a spray of light than a border, and it means no two viewing angles read quite the same. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

Metal options

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. This design depends on seeing metal between the stones, which is what makes the scatter read as deliberate rather than as a failed pave. Yellow and rose gold separate each accent clearly. White gold softens the gaps and the cluster reads as a looser halo. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds many small individual settings more securely.

Frequently asked questions

How is a scattered cluster different from a halo?
A halo is an even ring of matched stones tight around the centre. A scattered cluster uses different sizes at irregular intervals with metal showing between, so it looks organic and hand placed rather than symmetrical. It also spreads further along the band than a halo does.

Does it make the ring look bigger?
Yes, though differently from a halo. Rather than widening the outline of the head, the scatter extends sparkle across a larger area of the finger, so the ring reads as more substantial overall.

Is it harder to clean than pave?
No, generally easier. The stones are set individually with open metal around them rather than packed edge to edge, so there are fewer tight crevices for dirt to collect in.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
The accent stones extend along the shoulders, so a straight band may not sit perfectly flat against it. We can make a matching contoured band if you want them to sit together cleanly, just ask.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
