A hidden halo of small accent diamonds sits beneath the basket, visible only in profile.

Frequently asked questions

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond? Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it is grown in a laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. It is graded by the same laboratories using the same criteria.

What color and clarity are the diamonds in this ring? Both the oval center stone and the hidden halo accents are E color and VVS2 clarity. E is in the colorless range, and VVS2 means inclusions are very difficult to see even under ten times magnification, so the stones are completely eye clean.

Does a thinner band make the stone look bigger? Yes, and this design takes that further than most. The narrower the shank, the less metal the eye has to compare the stone against, so the same carat weight reads noticeably larger on an ultra thin band than on a standard one.

Is an ultra thin band strong enough for daily wear? In solid gold or sterling silver at the widths we use, yes. If you work with your hands or want extra reassurance, tell us and we will thicken the shank slightly at no extra cost. The look barely changes and the strength improves.

What is a bow tie and does this stone have one? Elongated brilliant cuts can show a dark band across the middle where the wearer blocks light. It comes from cut proportions rather than quality, and we select oval stones with proportions that keep it minimal.

Does this ring come with certification? Yes. Every center stone ships with an IGI certificate at no additional charge. IGI is one of the largest independent gemological laboratories grading lab grown diamonds.
