An oval cut lab grown diamond set east to west inside a band that does not run as a circle at all but curls into a long open S, sweeping up past the stone on one side and back down on the other, with pave following the whole length of the curve. This is the least conventional ring in the collection. There is no head sitting on a shank in the usual sense. The metal itself wraps around and cradles the diamond, so the stone appears caught inside a moving line rather than mounted on top of one. Turning the oval east to west is what allows it, since a stone set the traditional way would cut straight across the curve instead of lying along it. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

This is a design made of a moving line of metal, so the colour is inseparable from the shape. Yellow and rose gold read as a bold sculptural curve, white gold makes the twist quieter and pushes attention onto the stone. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and keeps a sculpted curve rigid.

Frequently asked questions

What is a twist band?
A shank that curves out of the plane of the ring rather than running as a flat circle. Here it forms a long open S that passes the stone on both sides, so the band is the design rather than a support for it.

Why is the oval set east to west?
Because it lies along the direction of the curve. Set north to south the stone would cut across the sweep and interrupt it. Turned sideways it becomes part of the same continuous line.

Will a wedding band sit against it?
Not flush, because the shank rises out of plane. This ring is designed to be worn alone, or with a band on the other hand. We can make a shaped band to follow the curve on request.

Does an oval look bigger than a round of the same weight?
Generally yes. An oval spreads its weight across a longer surface, presenting more face up area than a round of identical carat.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
