An oval cut lab grown diamond in four claws, with a tight cluster of three small round diamonds set against each shoulder, on a fine band that is otherwise plain. The clusters do a specific job. An oval is a long shape and a bare solitaire leaves an awkward gap where the curve of the stone meets the straight line of the band. Filling that gap with a small group of stones rather than a continuous row of pave closes it without adding weight, and because the group tapers away from the centre it makes the whole head look wider than the oval alone. Everything past the clusters is left as plain polished metal, so the ring stays light and easy to wear. Free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Accent stones and band

Three small round brilliant lab grown diamonds are grouped tightly against each shoulder of the oval, graduating in size away from the centre. The rest of the band is fine plain polished metal with no stones set into it.

Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Yellow gold, as photographed, separates the clusters clearly from the centre stone. White gold and sterling silver merge them so the whole head reads as one wider shape. Rose gold is the softest of the three.

Frequently asked questions

What do the cluster shoulders do?
They fill the gap between the curved edge of the oval and the straight line of the band, which a bare solitaire leaves open. Grouping the stones rather than running a continuous row keeps the ring light while still widening the face.

How is this different from a pave band?
Pave runs continuously along the shoulders. Here only three stones sit on each side, tightly grouped against the centre, and the rest of the band is completely plain.

Does it make the ring look bigger?
Yes, moderately. The clusters extend the head outward on both sides, so the overall face of the ring reads wider than the oval on its own.

Why is oval the most requested shape?
It spreads its weight lengthwise rather than downward, so it covers more finger than a round of the same carat weight, and the elongated outline lengthens the finger visually.

Will the accent stones fall out?
Each sits in its own claws or raised bead and every setting is checked before shipping. We also offer a lifetime prong and pave check.

Do I get a certificate?
