Does a wide band make the stone look smaller
Slightly, compared with a very fine shank. What it gives in return is presence and balance, which suits a large marquise particularly well. If maximum stone impact is the priority we can narrow the band on request.

Should I size up for a wide band
Usually yes, by a quarter to a half size. A wide band covers more of the finger and feels tighter than a fine wire in the same nominal size. Ask us and we will advise before cutting.

Are marquise points fragile
The two tips are the thinnest part of the stone, so each one sits under a claw that wraps over the point rather than beside it.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
