A marquise cut lab grown diamond set upright with a small pear shaped diamond on either side, on a plain slim band. All three stones are pointed ellipses, which is what makes this arrangement unusual. The marquise stands vertically and comes to a point at both ends, the pears sit horizontally and point outward, so the three form a compact cluster of angles reading in different directions rather than a straight line of stones. Keeping the pears small was the right decision here. Large sides would compete with a shape as long as a marquise. At this scale they widen the head just enough to balance the length. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Made to order in Surat in ten metals and four carat weights.

With no pave anywhere the metal frames three stones and nothing else. White gold merges the marquise and the two pears into one continuous cluster, yellow and rose gold keep each one distinct. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and better protects the points on all three stones.

Frequently asked questions

Why are the pear side stones small?
Because the marquise is already the longest shape there is. Large side stones would fight it for attention. Small pears widen the head just enough to balance the length without competing.

What does a three stone ring mean?
The three stones are usually read as past, present and future, one for where a couple began, one for where they are, one for what is ahead. It is why trilogy rings suit both engagements and milestone anniversaries.

Does the carat weight include the pears?
No. The carat option you choose is the weight of the marquise centre only. The two pear side stones are additional and scale in proportion at every carat weight.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
