A marquise cut lab grown diamond claw set above a band that does not run straight but drops into a deep V directly beneath the stone. The chevron is not decoration. It answers a real problem with the marquise shape. A marquise sits very long on the finger and a straight shank underneath it leaves the stone looking as though it has simply been placed on a circle. The V mirrors the pointed geometry of the diamond above it, so the whole ring becomes one continuous set of angles reading downward through the finger. It also means a curved or chevron wedding band nests against it perfectly. The band carries no stones so the shape itself stays the subject. E colour, VVS2 clarity, free IGI certificate. This design is defined entirely by the line of the metal, so the colour choice carries it. Yellow and rose gold make the chevron read as a strong graphic angle against the skin, white gold makes it subtle. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and holds a sharp V point crisply.

Frequently asked questions

Why a V shaped band?
It repeats the pointed geometry of the marquise above it, so the stone and the shank read as one design rather than two separate parts. It also gives a chevron wedding band something to sit against.

Does the V make the ring harder to wear?
No. The chevron sits flat against the finger and the shank remains slim. It is no less comfortable than a straight band and it stops the ring rotating as readily.

Will a wedding band sit against it?
A matching chevron or curved band nests into the V perfectly. A straight band will leave a gap at the point, so we recommend a shaped band with this design and can make one to match.

Why does a marquise look so much bigger than its carat weight?
It is the most elongated of the brilliant cuts, spreading its weight across a long narrow surface, so it presents more face up area than any other shape of the same weight.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
