Band details

The shank is fine and rounded, with the clustered accents set low into its upper surface so nothing stands proud. Below the clusters the band runs plain to the base, which keeps it comfortable and allows for resizing.

Choose from 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K and 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold is shown here and warm metal between the scattered stones is what makes the irregular spacing legible. Rose gold does the same more softly. White gold and sterling silver blur the intervals so the shoulders read as a soft drift of light rather than as individual stones.

Frequently asked questions

Is the scattered setting random?
No. It is composed deliberately so that the eye cannot find a repeating pattern in it. Genuinely random placement tends to produce accidental clusters that read as errors.

Will the small accents catch on things?
No. Each one is set low into the top surface of the shank with the claws filed flush, so nothing stands above the band.

Why does an emerald cut look so clear?
It is a step cut with long parallel facets arranged like stairs rather than the many small triangular facets of a brilliant, so you get broad flashes and an open view into the stone.

Does clarity matter more with an emerald cut?
Yes. There is nowhere for inclusions to hide, which is why the centre stone here is VVS2, a grade at which nothing is visible without magnification.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness, refractive index and fire as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it was grown in a controlled environment rather than pulled from the ground.
