Band details

Choose 925 sterling silver with rhodium plating, or solid 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Yellow gold gives the antique look shown in the photographs and outlines each shaped stone clearly. White gold, rhodium finished, merges the halo into a single bright field around the centre. Rose gold is the warmest of the three. Every metal is hallmarked and every carat weight is available in every metal.

Yes. A lab grown diamond is chemically, physically and optically identical to a mined diamond and is graded on the same scale by the same laboratories.

Why does an emerald cut sparkle differently
An emerald cut is a step cut. Its long parallel facets act like mirrors, producing broad flashes of light rather than the fine scintillation of a brilliant cut. It is a quieter, more glassy kind of brilliance, and it shows the clarity of the stone very openly, which is why we use VVS2.

How much larger does the halo make the ring look
Because the accents are shaped stones rather than tiny pave, this halo adds noticeably to the outline. A 2 carat centre reads closer to 3 carats face up.

Are shaped accent stones harder to replace
They are cut to order rather than bought in bulk, so a replacement takes a little longer than a round. We keep the specification of every ring we make on file so a match can be cut exactly.

Can I wear a wedding band beside it
The halo overhangs the band slightly, so a straight band leaves a small gap. A curved or shadow band sits closest, and we can make one to match.

How long does it take to make
