An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four ball tipped claws, with one tapered baguette diamond set flat against each side of the center stone, on a slim polished band.

A tapered baguette is a step cut too, which is why it belongs next to an emerald cut. Both stones have long straight facets and a wide open table, so the light they return matches, and the ring reads as one geometric group rather than a center stone with unrelated accents added on.

Because the baguettes narrow as they travel away from the center, they draw the eye inward and make the emerald cut look longer than it is. That is an old art deco trick and it works better with one clean stone on each side than with a cluster of small ones.

Each baguette sits in its own low bar setting, level with the center stone and flush against the shoulder. The band itself is left completely plain, slim and polished, so nothing competes with the three stones across the top.

Band details

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright cool white. Yellow gold, shown here, gives the strongest contrast between the plain band and the three white stones.

Is the center stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was grown.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is a tapered baguette
A long rectangular step cut stone that is wider at one end than the other. Set with the wide end against the center stone, it leads the eye inward and makes the middle diamond look larger.

Is other jewellery or clothing in the photographs included
No. The lifestyle photographs show the ring worn on the hand for scale. You receive the ring only, in the metal, carat and size you select.

Can this ring be resized later
Yes. The band has no stones on it, so a jeweller can size it in either direction. Your first resizing with us is free.

How is this different from your other baguette ring
Our other tapered baguette design uses a wider shank and sets the baguettes at a steeper angle against the center stone. This one keeps a very slim plain band with a single low set baguette lying flat on each side.

Does a wedding band sit flush against it
Yes. The baguettes sit level and the band is straight, so a plain or eternity band sits neatly beside it with no gap.

Are baguettes more fragile than round diamonds
They have straight edges rather than a curved girdle, so they are set in bars or channels rather than claws. Set correctly, as they are here, they wear perfectly well.

Which metal should I choose
Yellow or rose gold for a warm frame around three white stones. White gold or sterling silver if you want the whole top of the ring to read as one continuous line of diamond.
