This ring places an emerald cut lab grown diamond inside a sculpted setting where the shoulders open outward into carved leaf petals, each petal holding its own line of pave diamonds inside a leaf shaped window.

The design belongs to the art nouveau tradition, where metal was shaped into living forms rather than kept as a plain frame. Our model makers carve the petals so they lift away from the band at the base of the centre stone, curl over at the tips, and leave open gold windows on either side of the stone. Inside those windows the diamonds are pave set, which means the light reaches them from below as well as above and the petals appear to glow rather than simply sparkle.

Behind the petals, the band becomes a knife edge shoulder with a fine row of pave running along its ridge. That single row keeps the profile slender, so the ring stays elegant on the hand rather than heavy, and the plain polished underside sits smoothly against the finger.

The centre stone is claw set at its four corners with the long table left fully open, which is essential for an emerald cut. This shape shows its character through the wide steps cut into the pavilion, and any metal crossing the table would interrupt them.

Frequently asked questions

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. It is the same carbon crystal with the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same brilliance as a mined diamond. The difference is only where it grew.

Does the ring include a certificate?
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost and records the carat weight, colour, clarity, measurements and laboratory grown origin.

How is this different from your other leaf and vine emerald cut rings?
Our vine rings build leaves from separate marquise diamonds joined by gold stems. Here the leaves are carved from the metal itself, each one forming a window that is then pave set from the inside, and the shoulders behind them are knife edged rather than rounded. It is a sculpted design rather than a clustered one.

Which carat weight looks best in this setting?
All four are made for this ring. At 2 carat the carved petals stay in proportion with the stone. At 4 or 5 carat the petals become a frame that widens the ring across the finger.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
The petals flare outward at the base of the setting, so a contoured band that curves away from them sits best. We can make a matching curved band to follow the petal line.

Is an emerald cut strong enough for daily wear?
Yes. Its corners are cut off at an angle instead of being left as points, and the four claws here sit directly over those corners.

Which metal should I choose?
Yellow gold suits the botanical carving best. White gold and 925 sterling silver give a cooler, brighter version, and rose gold makes it softer and warmer. All ten metals are made to the same standard.

How do I clean the pave inside the leaf windows?
Use warm water, a little mild dish soap and a soft brush. Brush from behind the window as well as the front so that dust does not settle under the stones, then rinse and dry with a soft cloth.
