An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four ball tipped claws on a band worked into a twisted vine with sculpted metal leaves curling off it at each shoulder, and no accent stones anywhere on the ring.

Every leaf on this band is metal, shaped and polished rather than set with a diamond. That is the whole point of the design. The leaves are given a shallow central rib and a curled edge, so each one catches light along its length and throws a shadow underneath, and because polished gold reflects far more strongly than a small stone at this scale they read clearly from a distance in a way a pave leaf never does. Two strands wind around each other beneath them, opening into small windows where they cross.

Leaving out the accents also solves a problem particular to step cuts. An emerald cut gives broad slow flashes rather than fast fire, and surrounding it with dozens of small brilliants sets up a competition it always loses. Here the only stone on the ring is the centre, and everything else is worked metal, so the diamond is the single point of brilliance and the band is texture around it.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Why are there no diamonds in the leaves
Because polished metal reflects more strongly than a very small stone at this scale, and because leaving the centre stone as the only diamond keeps the emerald cut from competing with a field of small brilliants.

Will the leaves catch on clothing
No. Each leaf is laid against the vine and its edges are rounded and polished, so nothing stands out at an angle.

Does the polished metal scratch
Any polished surface picks up fine marks over time. We repolish the ring free of charge for life.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone.

Will a wedding band sit flush
A straight band leaves small gaps where the vine rises. We make a matching vine band that nests into the pattern.

Can this ring be resized
Within a modest range, using the section at the back of the shank where the twist closes.

How is this different from your other vine and leaf rings
The others set marquise or pear diamonds as leaves. This is the only one where every leaf is sculpted metal and the centre stone is the sole diamond.
