An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a band built from two strands that twist around one another, where one strand carries pave set round diamonds framed by milgrain and the other is left plain and polished.

Making only one of the two strands a diamond strand is what gives this band its rhythm. As the twist turns, the pave rises over the top of the shank and then disappears beneath it, so the ring alternates between metal and light all the way around instead of showing a single continuous row.

The milgrain matters here too. A fine line of beading runs along both edges of the set strand, which softens where the diamonds meet the metal and stops the pave looking like a channel cut into the band. It also puts a small amount of antique texture into what is otherwise a fairly contemporary shape.

The head stays simple, four claws holding the corners over a low open basket, so the emerald cut sits close to the finger. A step cut is a calm stone and it does not need help from the setting, only a band with enough interest to hold the eye when the diamond is out of the light.

Band details

Two strands cross over one another from the shoulders and continue around the finger, meeting the setting cleanly on both sides. The inside of the shank is smooth and rounded for comfort.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright cool white. Yellow and rose gold separate the plain strand from the set strand most clearly, which is the point of this design.

Frequently asked questions

Is the center stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was grown.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Do the diamonds go all the way around
The set strand continues around the band, so diamonds appear on both the upper and lower half depending on where the twist carries them. The underside of the finger is mostly plain metal.

What is milgrain
A row of tiny beads worked along an edge with a knurling wheel. It softens the boundary between metal and stone and scatters light in a way a plain polished edge cannot.

Can this ring be resized later
Within a size or two, and the twist has to be realigned when it is done. Tell us your size as accurately as you can. First resizing is free.

How is this different from your other twisted pave rings
Our pave twisted infinity band sets both strands and has no milgrain. Our twisted vine pave ring adds a hidden halo under the stone. This design sets one strand only and frames it with milgrain, so it reads more vintage and less busy.

Does a wedding band sit flush against it
Mostly. The twist means the band edge is not perfectly flat, so a straight band touches at the high points. A contoured band gives a closer fit.

How do I clean it
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Avoid polishing cloths on the milgrain because they flatten the beading over time.

Which metal should I choose
Yellow or rose gold to keep the two strands visually distinct. White gold or sterling silver if you want the whole band to read as one bright twist.
