An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four claws over a milgrain edged hidden halo, with a second arc of pave diamonds set into the underside of the gallery, on a plain tapered band.

There are two separate hidden details here rather than one. The first is the halo, a collar of small round diamonds set around the girdle of the emerald cut, below the table and edged with milgrain beading so the join between metal and stone is softened rather than sharp. The second sits lower, where the two arms of the gallery meet under the stone. There a curved arc of pave runs across the underside of the setting, visible only when the ring is tilted or when it is off the finger. Neither can be seen from directly above.

That is the whole idea of the design. Looked at straight on, this is an emerald cut on a plain tapered band and nothing else. Every other angle reveals something, and the person wearing it sees more of the ring than anyone else does. The shank is a plain rounded wire that tapers steadily toward the back of the finger, and it carries no stones at all.

Band details

A plain rounded shank tapering toward the back of the finger, fully polished and completely unset. The interior is smoothed and comfort rounded.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. Yellow gold is shown in the photographs, where the milgrain and the white pave read most clearly against the warm metal.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is the difference between the hidden halo and the gallery arc
The halo sits immediately under the girdle of the centre stone. The gallery arc sits lower still, across the underside of the setting where the two arms meet, and is only seen when the ring is tilted or removed.

What is milgrain
A border of tiny raised beads worked into the metal with a knurling wheel, used here to edge the hidden halo. It is a hallmark of Edwardian and Art Deco jewellery.

Can I have a coloured stone in the gallery instead
Yes. A sapphire, ruby or birthstone set into the gallery arc is one of our most requested changes and we are glad to quote for it.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone.

Will a wedding band sit flush
Yes. The hidden halo raises the head just enough that a straight band meets the shank without a gap.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, easily. The band is plain and unset all the way around.

How is this different from your other hidden halo rings
Others have the halo alone. This is the only one that adds a second pave arc across the underside of the gallery and edges the halo with milgrain.
