An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a band where marquise and round diamonds alternate the whole way around the finger, each set individually with small metal bridges between them.

This is the eternity version of the alternating band. The pattern does not stop at the shoulders and it does not close into plain metal at the back. Marquise, round, marquise, round, the sequence runs unbroken through the full circumference, and because each stone is claw set on its own with a short bridge of polished metal in between, the band reads as a chain of separate diamonds rather than a solid line of pave. The marquises lie lengthwise along the finger and the rounds sit between them, which is the arrangement that lets the eye travel around the ring rather than stopping anywhere.

The centre stone is left completely plain, four claws and nothing else, and it sits low on the band. That contrast matters. A step cut gives broad slow flashes while the alternating band glitters continuously around it, and if the emerald cut were haloed or framed the two would compete instead of separating cleanly.

A slim shank carrying alternating accents through its full circumference with no plain section. The interior is smoothed and comfort rounded.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Can a full eternity band be resized
Not without resetting stones, which is why we make this ring to your exact size from the start. If you expect your size to change, ask us for the three quarter version instead.

Why alternate marquise with round
Two shapes give the band a rhythm that a single repeated stone cannot, and the long axis of the marquise carries the eye along the finger.

Will the marquise accents catch on things
No. They lie flat along the finger rather than standing proud, and every claw is filed down and polished.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone.

Will a wedding band sit flush
Yes, though many people wear this ring alone because the band already carries a full run of diamonds.

How is this different from your other alternating accent ring
