This ring pairs an emerald cut lab grown diamond with the narrowest band we make. A line of micro pave diamonds runs along the top of a whisper thin shank, and a hidden halo circles the base of the centre stone where only you will notice it.

The point of a very narrow band is proportion. The thinner the metal, the larger the diamond appears, and an emerald cut already reads long and wide for its weight. Set on a band roughly the width of a matchstick, even a 2 carat stone looks substantial on the hand.

The pave is micro set, meaning the diamonds are small and held by tiny beads raised directly from the metal, so almost no gold shows between them. The row stops before the back of the shank, which keeps the ring resizable and comfortable.

Under the centre stone the hidden halo appears in profile as a bright ring of small diamonds. The head sits on two curved arms that rise from the band and support the stone from either side, leaving the space beneath it open so light passes through the pavilion.

White gold and 925 sterling silver, shown here, make the thin band almost disappear so the ring reads as a floating line of diamonds. Yellow and rose gold outline the pave and give the band more presence.

Ring size

You can request a different centre carat weight, a different colour or clarity grade, a coloured centre stone such as emerald or sapphire, a slightly heavier band if you prefer, the hidden halo left out, or an engraving inside the shank. Frequently asked questions

Is the centre stone a real diamond?
Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same brilliance as a mined diamond. Only its origin is different.

Is a certificate included?
Yes. An IGI certificate for the centre stone is included at no extra cost and lists carat weight, colour, clarity, measurements and laboratory grown origin.

How is this different from your other hidden halo emerald cut rings?
The band. This version uses the thinnest shank we make, set with micro pave, where our other hidden halo rings use either a plain domed band or a wider pave band. It is the most delicate of the group and makes the centre stone look largest.

Is such a thin band strong enough for daily wear?
Yes, when it is made properly. We build the shank with enough depth to carry the centre stone and reinforce it where the gallery arms meet the band. If you are hard on jewellery, tell us and we will make it slightly heavier without changing how it looks.

Can you see the hidden halo when it is worn?
Yes, from the side and at an angle. From directly above it stays out of sight, which is the intention behind a hidden halo.

Will a wedding band sit flush against it?
Yes. The band is straight and slim and the head sits above it, so a straight wedding band meets this ring cleanly. A matching thin pave band pairs beautifully and we can make one.

Which carat weight suits this ring?
All four are made for it. The thin band exaggerates the size of the stone, so this is a good choice if you want maximum presence at any weight.

How do I clean it?
Warm water, a drop of mild dish soap and a soft brush, working along the pave and around the hidden halo. Rinse well and dry with a soft cloth.

How long does it take to make?
Each ring is made to order, so please allow our standard making time from the day your metal and size are confirmed. We will confirm the schedule when you order.
