A hidden halo is set where nobody sees it from above. Look at the ring from the front and it is a plain solitaire. Turn it side on and a line of small diamonds appears under the girdle, lighting the underside of the stone. It is a detail for the wearer more than the viewer, and it is the reason this design looks simple from across a room and detailed up close.

The shoulder pave is graduated. The stones start at their largest beside the head and step down in size as they travel along the shank before stopping altogether. That taper is what keeps the band looking slim, because the eye follows the diamonds narrowing rather than the metal.

Everything about the proportions here is restrained on purpose. The claws are fine, the basket is low, the band is narrow, and the total effect is that the emerald cut looks larger than it would on a heavier ring. If you want the stone to be the whole story, this is the setting for it.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright cool white. Yellow gold gives the strongest contrast between the diamonds and the band, which suits the tapering pave.

Is the center stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was grown.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

What is a hidden halo
A row of small diamonds set into the side wall of the basket, below the center stone. It is invisible from directly above and visible in profile, and it adds light under the stone without changing the outline of the ring.

Will a slim band bend out of shape
Not in normal wear. We keep enough thickness in the shank for strength, and gold work hardens as it is formed. If you are hard on jewellery, choose 14K or 18K rather than sterling silver.

Can this ring be resized later
Yes. The pave stops well before the palm side, so there is plain metal to work with. Your first resizing with us is free.

How is this different from your other hidden halo rings

Does a wedding band sit flush against it
Yes. The basket is low and the band is straight, so a plain or pave band sits neatly against it.

How do I keep the hidden halo clean
Soak the ring in warm soapy water and brush under the head with a soft brush. Because the halo faces sideways rather than up, it collects less than a top set halo.

Which metal should I choose
White gold and sterling silver make the pave and the center stone read as one continuous bright line. Yellow and rose gold outline each diamond individually.
