An emerald cut lab grown diamond in four claws on a twisted band, where one strand is set with blue sapphires and the other with small round diamonds, so colour and white light alternate as the strands cross.

Putting sapphires on one strand and diamonds on the other is what makes this band work. Mixing the two along a single row would muddle both. Keeping them separate means the blue reads as a continuous line of colour, and every time the strands cross the eye is handed from sapphire to diamond and back again.

The sapphires are a medium to deep blue, matched as a set so the colour stays even along the strand. Sapphire is second only to diamond in hardness, which is why it is the one coloured stone we are comfortable setting into a band that will be worn every day.

The center setting is left plain, four fine claws over an open basket, so the emerald cut sits low and the colour stays where it belongs, in the band.

Band details

Two fine strands twist from the shoulders and rejoin into a single rounded shank under the finger, with the palm side left plain for comfort and easy sizing.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright cool white, which is how this design is photographed and the setting that gives the sapphires the strongest colour contrast. Yellow gold warms the blue considerably.

Is the center stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was grown.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Are the blue stones real sapphires
Yes, they are genuine sapphires, selected and matched for even colour along the strand.

Are sapphires durable enough for daily wear
Yes. Sapphire is 9 on the Mohs scale, second only to diamond, which is why it is a traditional choice for engagement jewellery.

Can this ring be resized later
Within a size or two, with the twist realigned afterwards. Give us your size as accurately as you can. First resizing is free.

How is this different from your other twist rings
Our fine pave infinity twist and roped pave twist bands are set entirely with diamonds. This is the only twist design that sets a full strand of blue sapphires against a strand of diamonds.

Does a wedding band sit flush against it
Close, though the twist means contact is at the high points. A contoured band gives the neatest fit and we can make one to match.

How do I clean it
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. Avoid steam and ultrasonic cleaners, which are not recommended for coloured stones.

Which metal should I choose
White gold or sterling silver for the sharpest contrast against the blue. Yellow or rose gold for a warmer, more antique reading of the same design.
