Most halo rings hold the center stone in claws. This one uses a bezel instead, so a continuous wall of metal wraps the girdle of the diamond and follows its cut corners exactly. That wall does two things. It protects the corners of the step cut, which are the most vulnerable part of an emerald cut, and it draws a clean bright outline that makes the stone look larger and more geometric than claws ever would.

The halo sits outside the bezel rather than tight against the stone, and it repeats the same octagonal outline. Because there is a band of plain metal between the diamond and the halo, the two rings of light stay separate and the design reads as deliberate architecture rather than a crowded cluster. It is a very art deco way to treat an emerald cut.

The shank is left completely plain and polished, and it meets the head at a low angle so the ring sits close to the finger. With this much detail at the top, a quiet band is the right decision.

Band details

A plain rounded shank of even width, fully polished, joining the head cleanly on both sides. There is no pave and no engraving on the band, which keeps the ring easy to size, easy to clean and comfortable under a wedding band.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright cool white. Yellow gold makes the bezel outline read strongly against the diamond, while white gold lets the bezel disappear and the stone look wider.

Is the center stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was grown.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Does a bezel make the diamond look smaller
No. The bezel covers only the very edge of the stone, and the bright metal outline plus the halo outside it makes the whole head read considerably larger than the diamond alone.

Is a bezel more secure than claws
Yes. A full bezel supports the girdle all the way around and covers the corners, which is the part of an emerald cut most likely to take a knock. It is the setting we recommend for anyone who works with their hands.

Can this ring be resized later
Yes. The shank has no stones in it, so sizing is straightforward in either direction. Your first resizing with us is free.

How is this different from your other halo rings
Our visible halo three quarter pave ring uses claws and sets diamonds along the band. Our hidden halo designs put the accent stones underneath where only you see them. This one is the only design where the halo surrounds a full bezel and the band is left completely plain.

Does a wedding band sit flush against it
Yes. The band is straight and the head sits low, so a plain or eternity band sits neatly beside it without a gap.

How do I clean it
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush. A bezel keeps dirt out from under the stone better than claws, so this design stays bright with very little effort.

Which metal should I choose
Yellow and rose gold give a strong graphic outline around the diamond. White gold and sterling silver make the bezel almost invisible and emphasise size.
