An emerald cut lab grown diamond framed by a halo of round brilliants held in visible beaded prongs, with pave diamonds continuing along both shoulders of the band.

The halo stones step up in size as they travel from the corners of the center stone to the middle of each side, and the largest sit at the top and bottom. That graduation is what stops a halo around a rectangular stone from looking like a plain rectangle of diamonds. It gives the outline a soft scalloped edge instead.

Every halo stone is held by round beaded prongs that are left visible rather than hidden, so a second ring of small bright points sits outside the diamonds. It is a mid century cluster technique and it is the detail that makes this halo look antique rather than modern.

The shoulders continue in bead set pave, which carries light down the band and connects the halo to the shank. Everything is set by hand, and the stone sits in a low setting so the ring stays comfortable in daily wear.

Band details

Pave runs along the upper half of the shank and the underside stays plain polished metal. The band is slim relative to the head, which is what makes the halo look as large as it does.

Metal options

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. White gold is finished with rhodium for a bright cool white. Yellow gold, shown here, makes the beaded prongs read clearly and gives the design its vintage character.

Is the center stone a real diamond
Yes. A lab grown diamond is real diamond. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond. The only difference is where it was grown.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Why do the halo stones vary in size
Because the center stone is rectangular. Graduating the halo lets the frame follow the outline of the emerald cut smoothly and gives the head a scalloped edge rather than a hard rectangle.

Are the beaded prongs meant to be visible
Yes. In vintage cluster work the prongs are part of the decoration, adding a second outline of light around the halo.

Can this ring be resized later
Within a size or two, using the plain metal underneath. First resizing is free.

How is this different from your other beaded halo ring
Our beaded prong sunburst halo ring has a completely plain band. This design adds pave along both shoulders and graduates the halo stones, so it reads larger and brighter overall.

Does a wedding band sit flush against it
The halo overhangs the shank, so a straight band meets the ring at the outer edge. A contoured band closes the gap and we can make one to match.

How do I clean it
Warm water, mild soap and a soft brush, paying attention to the underside of the halo where dust collects.

Which metal should I choose
Yellow or rose gold to show the beaded prongs and keep the antique look. White gold or sterling silver for the largest, brightest and most modern result.
