An emerald cut lab grown diamond in a four claw head above a hidden halo, on a band pave set with round diamonds down both shoulders. The hidden halo follows the rectangle of the emerald cut rather than a circle, which is the only way it works under a step cut. A round halo beneath a rectangular stone leaves visible gaps at the long sides and looks like a part borrowed from another ring. Cut to shape it becomes a clean bright rectangle sitting exactly beneath the stone, showing only from the side. Above it the emerald keeps its long parallel steps completely unobstructed, which is the whole reason to choose one. E colour, VVS2 clarity throughout, free IGI certificate for the centre stone. Step cut stones show their body colour more openly than brilliants, so a white metal keeps the emerald reading icy while yellow and rose gold lend it a faint warmth. The pave and hidden halo read brightest against white gold. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and better protects the corners of a step cut stone.

Frequently asked questions

Why is the hidden halo rectangular?
Because the centre stone is. A halo cut to follow the outline of an emerald cut sits flush beneath it with no gaps at the long sides. A circular halo under a rectangular stone leaves uneven spaces and reads as a mismatch.

Why does an emerald cut sparkle less than a round?
It is cut with long parallel steps rather than many small facets, so it produces wide mirror like flashes instead of fine glitter. That open surface is also why clarity matters more in an emerald cut, and why we set only VVS2 stones.

Does the hidden halo make the diamond look bigger?
It adds visible width at the base and lifts the stone slightly, which makes the whole head read as larger without changing what you see from above.

Does the carat option include the halo and pave?
No. The carat you choose is the weight of the emerald centre only. The hidden halo and pave diamonds are additional at every carat weight.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
