Frequently asked questions

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond? Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it is grown in a laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. It is graded by the same laboratories using the same criteria.

What color and clarity are the diamonds in this ring? Both the emerald cut center stone and the vine accents are E color and VVS2 clarity. On an emerald cut this matters more than on other shapes, because its long open facets act like windows into the stone and show inclusions and tint far more readily than a brilliant cut.

Why pair a geometric cut with a nature inspired band? The contrast is the point. An emerald cut is the most architectural of the diamond shapes, all straight lines and right angles, so setting it on an organic twisted shank makes both halves read more strongly than either would alone.

Do the vine accents catch on clothing? The accent stones are set down into the strands rather than raised on prongs, and the twist is polished smooth. It wears closer to a plain band than the detail suggests.
