Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond? Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it is grown in a laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. It is graded by the same laboratories using the same criteria.

What color and clarity are the diamonds in this ring? Both the emerald cut center stone and the pave accents are E color and VVS2 clarity. This matters more on an emerald cut than on any other shape, and the reason is in the next answer.

Why does clarity matter more in an emerald cut? An emerald cut is a step cut, with long open facets rather than the many small facets of a brilliant.
