An emerald cut lab grown diamond turned east to west and enclosed in a full rub over bezel, carried on cathedral shoulders. Every element here works toward the same effect. Turning the stone sideways makes it span the width of the finger as a horizontal bar, the full bezel wraps a continuous rim of metal around that entire rectangle so the outline is unbroken on all four sides, and the cathedral shoulders arch up from the band to meet the underside of the bezel rather than running straight into it. The result is a ring with no claws anywhere, no visible join between band and setting, and a stone that reads as a single sealed block of diamond laid across the hand. A full bezel shows more metal than any claw setting and this one runs unbroken around a long rectangle, so the colour draws a complete frame. Yellow and rose gold make that frame bold and graphic, white gold reduces it to a bright edge and lets the stone spread. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and resists denting on a long bezel wall.

Frequently asked questions

What does east west mean?
The stone is set sideways, with its length running across the finger rather than along it. On a long shape like an emerald cut this creates a horizontal bar of diamond and reads as distinctly modern.

How is this different from your half bezel version?
A half bezel caps only the two short ends of the stone and leaves the long sides completely open. This one wraps the full perimeter, so the outline is a closed rectangle of metal rather than two brackets.

Is a bezel more secure than claws?
Yes. A bezel grips the whole girdle at once and completely protects the cropped corners of an emerald cut, which are its only vulnerable points. Nothing can bend, wear or catch.

Why does an emerald cut show clarity so clearly?
Its long open step facets act like windows into the stone rather than scattering light. That is why we set only VVS2 in this shape.

Will a wedding band sit flush?
Close to it. The bezel sits low, though the cathedral arch means a flat band rests alongside rather than tight beneath the head.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
