Elongated Radiant Cut Lab Grown Diamond Ring in White Gold on a Micropave Shank

An elongated radiant cut lab grown diamond in four claws over a concealed halo, on a fine white gold shank set with micropave that stops short of the head and leaves a clear length of plain metal beneath the basket.

White metal is chosen here for a reason that has nothing to do with taste. A diamond has no colour of its own, so whatever sits beside it is what the eye compares it against, and a yellow or rose claw will always place a faint warm cast at the edge of a stone. In white gold the claw, the basket wall and the girdle of the diamond fall within a narrow enough range of tone that the boundary between metal and stone stops being obvious, and the ring reads as one continuous bright object. That is also why the pave is left off the last few millimetres before the head. Running stones right up to the basket would put two different scales of sparkle immediately next to each other, and the small ones would make the large one look duller by comparison. The gap of plain polished metal gives the eye a rest between them.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and optical behaviour as a mined diamond and is graded on the same scales.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Why choose white gold for a colourless diamond
A white metal sits in a similar tonal range to the stone, so the boundary between claw and diamond becomes far less obvious than it is against a warm metal.

Why does the pave stop before the head
Two different scales of sparkle placed side by side make the larger one look duller. A short run of plain metal separates them.

Does white gold need replating
Our white gold is alloyed to be naturally pale, and we finish it with rhodium. A refresh every few years keeps it at its brightest, and we do this free as part of our lifetime service.

Can this ring be resized
Yes. The back of the shank is plain, so resizing does not disturb the pave.

How long does the ring take to make
Each ring is made to order. Production usually takes twelve to sixteen working days before dispatch.
