An elongated radiant cut lab grown diamond held in four claws on a plain slim band. Nothing has been added anywhere. No halo, no hidden halo, no pave, no side stones, and behind the head an open basket gallery that leaves the pavilion completely exposed to light from underneath. This is the radiant cut presented on its own terms, and it is a shape that rewards that treatment, because a radiant carries brilliant style faceting inside a rectangular outline and therefore produces far more fire than a step cut of the same size while keeping the same clean geometry. With no accent stones anywhere, metal colour is the only other decision to make. Yellow and rose gold frame the rectangle warmly, white gold makes the setting disappear and the stone look as large as possible. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and better protects the cropped corners where the claws sit.

Frequently asked questions

What is a radiant cut?
A rectangular or square stone with cropped corners and brilliant style faceting. It combines the clean outline of an emerald cut with the sparkle of a round brilliant, which is why it looks livelier than a step cut of the same size.

Why an elongated radiant rather than a square one?
The longer ratio runs along the finger and gives a slimming line, and it presents more face up area per carat than a square radiant of the same weight.

Does a radiant hide inclusions better than an emerald cut?
Yes. Its brilliant faceting scatters light rather than acting as a window, so inclusions are harder to see. We still set only VVS2 here, so it is not a concern either way.

Is this easy to pair with a wedding band?
It is the easiest kind. There is no pave to line up, the shank is straight where a band meets it, and the head sits low.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.

Do I get a certificate?
Yes. A free IGI certificate for the centre stone comes with every order, listing colour, clarity, cut grade and carat weight.

How long does it take to make?
Production usually takes ten to fourteen working days, plus shipping time to your address.
