Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond? Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it is grown in a laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. It is graded by the same laboratories using the same criteria.

What color and clarity is the diamond in this ring? The emerald cut center stone is E color and VVS2 clarity. That combination matters more on an emerald cut than on any other shape, because its long open facets act like windows into the stone and show tint and inclusions far more readily than a brilliant cut.

What does elongated mean for an emerald cut? It refers to the ratio between length and width. A standard emerald cut is around 1.30 to 1.40 to one. An elongated stone runs longer, closer to 1.50 to one or beyond, which makes the ring appear larger on the finger and slims the hand.
