A radiant cut lab grown diamond set east to west in a simple four prong head. The stone is rotated so its long axis runs across the finger rather than along it, which turns a familiar rectangular cut into something noticeably more modern. A radiant suits this orientation particularly well: it is already a rectangle with cropped corners, so laid sideways it reads as a clean horizontal bar of light rather than a stone that has been turned. The four prong head is kept plain so nothing distracts from that line. E colour, VVS2 clarity, free IGI certificate for the centre diamond. With no accent stones the metal is a large part of what you see. White gold keeps the look cool and contemporary, which suits the east west styling; yellow and rose warm it and pull it slightly more traditional. For everyday wear 14K is harder than 18K.

Frequently asked questions

What does east west mean?
The stone is rotated ninety degrees so its length runs across the finger instead of along it. The diamond is identical; only the orientation changes.

Will it overhang my finger?
It can, particularly at 4 and 5 carat on a narrower finger, because the stone's full length now sits across the width of the finger. If you have slim fingers and want a large stone, the north south version is the safer choice and we build that too.

Only two photographs?
Yes. This folder has a small photo set, and we would rather show you two honest images of the actual ring than pad the gallery with pictures of a different one. Ask us for more angles before ordering and we will send them.

Is east west less traditional?
Yes, deliberately. It is a modern styling choice. If you want a classic engagement silhouette, choose one of our north south radiant rings.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.
