Two pear cut lab grown diamonds set side by side and angled toward each other on a plain slim band. Where most Toi et Moi rings pair two different shapes for contrast, this one uses the same shape twice at different sizes, one noticeably larger than the other, with their points facing in opposite directions. The result is a rotational rather than mirrored symmetry, the kind of balance you see in a yin and yang rather than in a matched pair. It also means the two stones nest closely, their curved bodies meeting in the centre with almost no gap, so the head reads as one continuous form rather than two stones sharing a ring. The two stones meet at the centre with very little metal between them, so the colour choice determines whether you read one form or two. White gold merges them completely, yellow and rose gold draw a clear dividing line. For daily wear 14K is harder than 18K and better protects the points of both stones.

Frequently asked questions

What does Toi et Moi mean?
You and me in French. The ring holds two stones rather than one, representing two people. Napoleon Bonaparte proposed to Josephine with a Toi et Moi ring in 1796, which is where the style's association with engagement begins.

Why two pears rather than two different shapes?
Using the same shape at two sizes gives a rotational symmetry rather than a mirrored one, so the pair reads as one flowing form. Two different shapes create contrast instead. This design chooses continuity.

Does the carat option apply to both stones?
The carat you select is the total for the pair, divided between the larger and smaller pear in proportion. At 4 carat you are getting two substantial stones rather than one.

Are the points fragile?
The tips of both stones are the most exposed part, which is why each sits under a V shaped claw that wraps both edges. Protected that way the ring is suitable for everyday wear.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
Yes. Same carbon structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. Only the origin differs.
