Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond? Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it is grown in a laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. It is graded by the same laboratories using the same criteria.

What color and clarity is the diamond in this ring? The emerald cut center stone is E color and VVS2 clarity. That matters more on an emerald cut than on other shapes, because its long open facets act like windows into the stone and show any tint or inclusion far more readily than a brilliant cut would.

Why choose a bezel setting? A bezel wraps metal fully around the girdle rather than gripping the stone at points. Nothing can snag on clothing, there are no prong tips to wear thin or bend, and the corners of a rectangular stone are completely protected. It is the most secure of the common settings and the best choice for hands that are used.
