An emerald cut lab grown diamond held in a full bezel whose outer wall is pave set with small diamonds and edged with milgrain, on a split shank with a second run of pave beneath the head.

From directly above this is a plain bezel. A clean unbroken rim of metal follows the eight sides of the emerald cut and nothing interrupts it. Turn the ring even slightly and the outside of that rim turns out to be set with a continuous row of pave running all the way around, bordered top and bottom with milgrain beading. It is the same idea as a hidden halo but built into the wall of the bezel rather than sitting underneath the stone, so the light appears at the edge of the frame rather than below it.

Under the head the shank splits into two arms that arch apart, and a further short run of pave is set along the underside where the arms meet. Both details are invisible when the hand is held flat and both show whenever it moves. The rest of the band is plain polished metal, tapering slightly toward the back of the finger.

Band details

A split shank that divides into two arms beneath the head and rejoins behind, plain and polished apart from the hidden pave. The interior is smoothed and comfort rounded.

Choose 925 sterling silver, or 10K, 14K or 18K gold in yellow, rose or white. Every metal is fully hallmarked. Yellow gold is shown in the photographs, where the white pave along the bezel wall reads most clearly against the warm metal.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond
Yes. It has the same carbon crystal structure, the same hardness of 10 on the Mohs scale and the same optical behaviour as a mined diamond, and it is graded on the same scales by the same laboratories.

Does the ring come with a certificate
Yes. An IGI certificate for the center stone is included at no extra charge.

Where exactly is the hidden pave
Around the outside wall of the bezel, running the full way around, and along the underside of the split shank beneath the stone. Neither can be seen when you look straight down at the ring.

Is a bezel more secure than claws
Yes. Nothing stands proud to be bent or snapped and the corners of the emerald cut, its weakest points, are fully covered.

Will the pave on the bezel wall catch on things
No. Every stone is set flush into the wall and each bead is burnished flat, so the outer surface stays smooth.

What is milgrain
A border of tiny raised beads worked with a knurling wheel, used here to frame the pave above and below.

Do emerald cuts show inclusions more than other shapes
Yes. The open step facets hide far less than a brilliant does, which is why we use VVS2 clarity for the centre stone.

Can this ring be resized
Yes, using the solid section at the back of the shank.

How is this different from your other bezel emerald cut rings
The others use a plain rim on a fine band, a wide flat band or an open gallery. This is the only one where the bezel wall itself is set with pave and edged with milgrain.
