Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond? Yes. A lab grown diamond has the same carbon crystal structure, hardness and brilliance as a mined diamond. The only difference is that it is grown in a laboratory rather than extracted from the earth. It is graded by the same laboratories using the same criteria.

What color and clarity are the diamonds in this ring? Both the round brilliant center stone and the accent stones are E color and VVS2 clarity. E is in the colorless range, and VVS2 means inclusions are very difficult to see even under ten times magnification, so the stones are completely eye clean.

Why put a round stone in a geometric setting? The contrast is the point. A round brilliant is the softest outline of any cut, so framing it with straight stepped lines makes both the curve of the stone and the sharpness of the metal read more strongly than either would alone.
