An oval cut lab grown diamond between two oval side stones, styled in the Art Deco manner. What makes a three stone ring read as Deco rather than simply classic is the geometry: the stones are set close and symmetrically, the metalwork is crisp rather than rounded, and the whole head is composed as a single deliberate shape instead of a centre stone with decoration added. The period ran from the 1920s to the 1930s and its jewellery has never really left fashion, which is why this arrangement still looks current a century later. Available in 925 sterling silver, 10K yellow gold, 10K rose gold, 10K white gold, 14K yellow gold, 14K rose gold, 14K white gold, 18K yellow gold, 18K rose gold and 18K white gold. Genuine Art Deco pieces were usually made in platinum or white gold, so a white metal is the historically accurate choice and keeps the geometry looking sharp. Yellow and rose gold give the same design a warmer, less strictly period feel. For everyday wear 14K is harder than 18K and better at holding three heads in alignment.

How is this different from your other oval three stone rings?
All three use an oval centre with oval sides. One is presented for proposals, one is a yellow gold anniversary piece, and this one is styled and photographed as Art Deco. The construction is the same family, so compare the galleries and choose the presentation and metal you prefer rather than assuming they are structurally different.

What actually makes a ring Art Deco?
Geometry and symmetry rather than ornament. Deco jewellery favours clean lines, repeated shapes and a composed silhouette, in contrast to the flowing, naturalistic styles that came before it. A close set symmetrical trilogy fits that vocabulary.

Does the carat apply to all three stones?
To the centre stone. The sides are scaled proportionally so the ring keeps its proportions at any carat.

Is this an antique ring?
No. It is newly made to order in the Art Deco style, with modern lab grown diamonds and modern setting standards. Nothing about it is second hand or reclaimed.

Is a lab grown diamond a real diamond?
