Tilted outward, with their points turned away from the centre, they open the head into a fan. Every one of them sits inside a v claw that wraps around the edges either side of the point rather than pressing down on it.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eWhat laboratory grown means here\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eA laboratory grown diamond is a diamond. It is crystallised carbon with the same cubic structure, the same 10 on the Mohs scale, the same refractive index of 2.42 and the same dispersion as a mined stone. Ours are grown by chemical vapour deposition and high pressure high temperature methods, then cut and polished by hand. This is not moissanite, not cubic zirconia and not a simulant. Yellow and rose gold are photographed here, and with only three stones the metal is a large part of what you see, so the colour matters more than on a pave design. White gold is rhodium plated and will want replating every one to two years.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eEvery centre stone arrives IGI certified\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eThe centre diamond is graded by IGI, the International Gemological Institute, and the certificate comes with the ring at no extra charge. It states the carat weight, the E colour grade, the VVS2 clarity grade, the measurements and the girdle inscription, and confirms in writing that the stone is laboratory grown. Both pear side stones are matched to the same E and VVS2 grade, which is essential when there are only three stones for the eye to compare.\u003c\/p\u003e\u003ch2\u003eAbout the bow tie\u003c\/h2\u003e\u003cp\u003eMarquise and pear cuts both have the potential for a bow tie, a dark band across the middle caused by the proportions of the cut rather than by colour or clarity. No certificate grades it.
